Maine Sunday Telegram notes emergence of Museum of Art’s Dan Mills as art leader
The Maine Sunday Telegram reports that Dan Mills’ appointment as director of the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ College Museum of Art come with a renewed emphasis on the arts at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ as part of a College-wide strategy. ”This is a wonderful situation,” Mills said, “one with many opportunities for the arts and the college.” He noted specifically the creation of a ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Arts Collaborative at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½. Portland Press Herald arts writer Bob Keyes reports on Mills’ attendance at a statewide “cultural summit” at , where, “under a blanket of heavy mist, 75 artists, arts presenters, administrators and educators gathered…to share ideas, talk about their latest projects and, in many instances, simply introduce themselves.”
