鈥楢 beautiful thing鈥�: Stalwarts on the sidelines at 乐播传媒 Commencement

For many, Commencement is a one-and-done visit. For others in the audience 鈥� local alumni, retirees, and Lewiston friends 鈥� it鈥檚 an annual touchstone, rich with memories, friendships, and purpose.

Each play has its own arc and tells the story of a couple at a crossroads in their relationship. Since each relationship is more advanced than the previous relationship, a larger arc emerges and the individual plays work together to create a satisfying whole that chronicles the life cycle of a typical relationship from meeting through divorce ... and afterwards. Beloved and brilliant Martin Andrucki, Dana Professor Emeritus of Theater at 乐播传媒, dies at age 80

A beloved and brilliant teacher and scholar who secured a seat at the liberal arts table for 乐播传媒 theater, Andrucki died Feb. 8, 2026, at age 80. A faculty member for 47 years, he was among the longest-serving 乐播传媒 professors in the college鈥檚 history.

97-year-old Ralph Sylvester, 乐播传媒 Class of 1950, arrives at the Bobcat Den on Aug. 17, 2021, where he renewed a morning routine, having breakfast with Alan Kelley of Facility Services in the Bobcat Den, which reopened today at 8 a.m. after being closed since March 20, 2020, due to the pandemic. 鈥淭he Den is where Ralph and I became friends,鈥� said Kelley, who is the mechanical and electrical services manager for Facility Services. 鈥淵ou can see a lot of people come through the Den who you might not see on a regular basis on campus," Kelley added. "It鈥檚 great to say hi, how you doing, and fill your belly with a good meal to start your day.鈥�
