Each May,  graduating seniors attending a luncheon with ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Trustees are invited by President Elaine Tuttle Hansen to offer brief comments on their time at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½. Directly below are of some of their impromptu remarks:

Lindsay Thomson ’10, West Hartford, Conn.

Thomson decided ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ was the college she wanted to attend after spending five days checking it out.

Kevin Thorson ’10, Storrs, Conn.

Thorson found his passion at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, double-majoring in economics and Spanish.

Vantiel Elizabeth Duncan ’10, Topsham, Maine

Duncan had many college choices, but ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ was the one place where she knew she could succeed in her “three A’s” — arts, academics and athletics.

Emily Pressman ’10, New Canaan, Conn.

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ was Pressman’s choice, and it became a second home.

Brianna Bakow ’10, Lexington, Mass.

Bakow found that the one-on-one interaction with professors and others produced a sense of community she had not experienced before.

Emily Grady ’10, Littleton, Mass.

Grady discovered resources everywhere as academic and experiential learning came together for her thesis.

George MacDonald ’10, Ossining, N.Y.

MacDonald prepared to go into the world after college as an artist – and has fulfilled his goal.

Emaan Karamatullah ’10, Karachi, Pakistan

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ changed Karamatullah in many ways, and gave her the chance to meet so many people with different backgrounds.
