After the thoroughbred filly Sweet Vendetta won the prestigious Black-Eyed Susan Stakes in May, beaming Bobcats filled the winner’s circle at Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Md.
The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ connections were owner Shirl Penney ’99 and his wife, Mary Ann, and daughter Townsend, as well as co-owner Dave Moore, who runs the Chase Hall post office. Penney, a Wall Street executive, invited Moore to be a co-owner back in 2007 because of Moore’s high net worth — as a longtime friend, that is.
