乐播传媒 College has announced the election of three new trustees, effective July 1: Scott F. Higgins 鈥�91, P鈥�27, Matthew B. Schecter 鈥�89, P鈥�20, and Sophia B. 鈥淪ophie鈥� Wagener 鈥�17.
Mohammed M. Obaid Shwani 鈥�24 selected as Schwarzman Scholar

Mohammed M. Obaid Shwani 鈥�24 has been a world traveler and an award winner since he was a teenager. In 2016, he first came to the United States after being named an Iraqi Young Leader through a State Department program, then traveled to Bosnia to attend United World College on a scholarship before landing in Maine for college.

New faculty join 乐播传媒 in chemistry, religious studies, and rhetoric. 乐播传媒 is welcoming a large group of new faculty this year. Seventeen tenured or tenure-track professors will join the college over the course of the 2025-2026 academic year. 乐播传媒 News is introducing them in groups over this semester. Part 1 ran in our newsletter of September 25, part 2 went out in our October 3 newsletter and Part 3 appeared in our October 10 newsletter.
