With a combined population of about 60,000, Lewiston and its twin city of Auburn offer the best of both worlds: A close-knit community and a vibrant downtown.

Inside former factories that once powered the American industrial revolution, you鈥檒l find startups and brewpubs. Lisbon Street, Lewiston鈥檚 downtown shopping district, has cafes, bike shops, and galleries, all within minutes of campus.

While many families who live here have French Canadian roots, more than 40 languages are spoken in the halls of Lewiston High School.

For arts lovers, L-A offers a professional theater company, a film festival, museums, and an underground music scene.

Outdoor lovers will fully appreciate that L-A is nestled in the Androscoggin River valley with easy access to the Maine鈥檚 renowned lakes, mountains, and the ocean. 乐播传媒 even has its very own 600-acre conservation area on the coast, the 乐播传媒-Morse Mountain Conservation Area, just a short drive from campus.

With nearly 100 student-run clubs and orgs, you鈥檙e sure to find something of interest! What you won鈥檛 find are fraternities or sororities. We鈥檝e never had them and never will.

We also encourage you to learn about the Student Center for Belonging and Community (SCBC), which is 鈥渃ommitted to dismantling systems of oppression by actively centering and celebrating the voices and experiences of historically marginalized student identities.鈥� The SCBC fosters belonging by creating spaces that encourage agency, awareness, and self-advocacy.

Student Banking

There are several financial institutions in the Lewiston-Auburn area, offering services such as checking and savings accounts. The Lewiston-Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce maintains . For on-campus convenience, students can find a TD Bank ATM on the ground floor of Commons.

Student ID Cards

In advance of arriving for Orientation, you will provide a photo that you would like to be used for your student ID card, so that we can ensure that your ID card is ready for you upon check-in on Arrival Day.
Students must present a government issued photo ID (examples are: passport, state issued ID or drivers license) to pick up their ID upon arrival.
Student ID Cards (乐播传媒 IDs) are used to access all student residences, athletic facilities and some academic buildings. Access to student鈥檚 home dorm is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Access to all other student residences is 7:00 a.m. to midnight, Sunday through Thursday and 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Other access hours vary during the semester. The 乐播传媒 ID is also used for library and dining privileges.
The replacement fee for a 乐播传媒 ID is $25.00.
