There are many club activities for which the cost exceeds what a club’s account can provide, including funding from other sources.Ìý
While student clubs and organizations should strive for offering activities that do not come at an added expense to those wishing to participate, due to financial realities, there may be some circumstances that require an out-of pocket expense that members are expected to contribute.Ìý
Students that are unable to cover these types of out-of-pocket expenses are encouraged to apply for support from the Personal Expense Fund.
Any student may apply for this funding.ÌýPlease note that Campus Life recommends submitting this request a minimum of two weeks prior to the activity to ensure enough time for it to be reviewed.
Approved personal expense funding is considered taxable income by the federal government. If you are a student employee, associated taxes will be deducted from your next paycheck. If you are not a student employee, you are responsible for reporting all taxable income to the federal government.
