乐播传媒 logos and wordmark files for Posters in EPS and PNG format

乐播传媒 logos, or wordmarks, are available for download in EPS (for print) and PNG (for digital) formats. EPS is a vector format, you may scale the logos to any size you may require. Follow this link /communications-marketing/design-services-1/downloads/

1) Poster size: Typical sizing is 36 x 48. At least one dimension must be 40鈥 or less. It can be vertically (portrait) or horizontally oriented (landscape).

2) Credits: Remember to put your name (and any co-authors) on the front of your poster! Putting your discipline and your advisor鈥檚 name isn鈥檛 a bad idea either鈥

3)听Printing deadline:听If you are having your poster printed by Post & Print on a wide format printer, your poster must be submitted for printing with a听3 day turnaround听迟颈尘别.

4)File Submission:听All files must be submitted听electronically via email.听Submit to posterprinting@bates.edu The maximum file capacity is 25 mpg.

5) Naming convention:听Please name your poster file with your 乐播传媒 network username (underscore) your contact phone number with area code,听Example:lhenders_2077771234.pdf

6) Acceptable file format: Your poster must be submitted as a .PDF file. Also, it is a good idea to use common fonts, or if possible to outline your fonts before making the PDF.

  • Once you have saved or exported your file as a PDF, you should look at it on your own computer to make sure it looks OK. When you design a poster (whether in InDesign or another app), some fonts and formatting may change when the PDF is opened on a different computer.
  • Due to production methods, a 鈥渓ive鈥 area of 35 x 47 inches must be maintained. Images flush with the edge of the poster may be cut off. Although graphics can be 鈥渆dge to edge鈥, anything outside of this dimension may get trimmed off so if it鈥檚 important keep it inside the 35 x 47 inch area.

7) Payment:  The cost for printing a 36 x 48 inch poster:

  • 乐播传媒 Students and departments $40
  • All others $90

Payment is due when you pick up your poster at Post & Print. The payment options:

  • We accept all major credit cards or check at Post & Print. Make checks payable to 乐播传媒 College.

  • Late poster submissions (after the deadline) will be charged a $20 late fee听 on top of the print cost of $40.

PowerPoint Poster Printing Tips

If you will be creating a poster to print on our wide format inkjet printer from PowerPoint, please use these guidelines to ensure your poster will print at the appropriate size and quality.

You will need to determine the size of the poster for PowerPoint to work with BEFORE you start adding information to the file. Typically page set-up should be 36 inches by 48 inches.

1) Launch PowerPoint 2016 and select the Design tab and at the far right select under file, select slide size, then select custom size and enter 48 inch wide by 36 inch tall,  landscape slide orientation.

2) Leave a 0.5鈥 margin on the poster for printing purposes. Images flush with the edge of the poster may be cut off..

3) When choosing a background, the best option is to insert an auto shape (square) select a fill color and 鈥渟end to the back鈥 to function as a background. Remember, while gradients look nice on the screen, they rarely print out as nice. If at all possible, try to avoid gradients or reduced opacity/transparent images.

4) Be sure that your text and image boxes fit their content 鈥 you don鈥檛 want a box that is too small or too large because the printer 鈥渞eads鈥 the out limits of the box before it 鈥渞eads鈥 the content inside.

5) Check your poster for extraneous boxes that may be hidden and delete them. You can do this by using 鈥淪elect All鈥 to find the unnecessary boxes.

6) For images, use high resolution images and be careful with 鈥榮tretching鈥 them larger.
