Who can go on Outing Club trips?
All ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ students are welcome to join the BOC for trips and events!
How do I sign up for a trip?
All trips, activities, and events are posted on the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Engage under the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Outing Club’s profile. Trip leaders often send emails out to alert students to upcoming trips before sign ups open.
How do I become a BOC Trip Leader?
To become a trip leader for the Outing Club, students must complete Trip Leader Training (TLT), which is offered once a semester. This training take approximately 60-70 hours and includes the following components:
- Wilderness First Aid
- Classroom Training
- Field Training
Do I have to have outdoor experience to go on a BOC trip?
No! While we do offer some trips that require previous experience, many of the BOC trips are open to all skill levels. We even offer introductory level trips/courses for students who want to gain skill in specific outdoor activities.
Are there ways to get involved in the BOC other than being a trip leader?
Yes. We have positions on our Leadership Team that do not require any trip leading experience.
How often does the BOC have club meetings?
Every other Wednesday at 6:30pm. Usually in Chase Hall, but check your email!
