All first-generation students are invited to join us on campus for pre-orientation. This program is meant to support students in their adjustment to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ through community building, informational sessions specific for first-gen students, and introductions to campus resources. For successful applicants to the Kessler Scholars Program, pre-orientation attendance is mandatory.

Kessler Scholars Pre-Orientation Days

Date: August 24, 2026 through August 26, 2025

Pre-Orientation Days will introduce Kessler Scholars to resources critical to their success at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ and help to build community with one another. Kessler Scholars will be expected to move into their residence halls on the morning of Tuesday 8/24 and then orientation will begin with lunch. Families and support networks are invited to participate in afternoon programming on Tuesday 8/24.

Programming Tuesday 8/26 will only be open to Kessler Scholars.

New Student Orientation

Program Date: August 28, 2025 – September 3, 2025

In addition to the Kessler Scholar pre-orientation program, students will participate in New Student Orientation with all first-year students. New Student Orientation takes place August 28 – September 3, 2025. More information about the FYE can be found by visiting the First-Year Experience website.
