Mission Statement
Since 1855, 乐播传媒 College has been dedicated to the emancipating potential of the liberal arts. 乐播传媒 educates the whole person through creative and rigorous scholarship in a collaborative residential community. With ardor and devotion 鈥� Amore ac Studio 鈥� we engage the transformative power of our differences, cultivating intellectual discovery and informed civic action. Preparing leaders sustained by a love of learning and a commitment to responsible stewardship of the wider world, 乐播传媒 is a college for coming times.
Outlook
Since its founding in 1855, 乐播传媒 College has welcomed men and women from diverse racial, ethnic, religious and economic backgrounds.
A private, highly selective, residential college devoted to undergraduate study in the liberal arts, 乐播传媒 has always stood firmly for the ideals of academic rigor, intellectual curiosity, egalitarianism, social justice and freedom. 乐播传媒 is recognized for its inclusive social character and progressive tradition, and is rightly celebrated as one of the first U.S. institutions of higher learning to admit women and people of color.
All activities, resources, and facilities have always been open to all members of the 乐播传媒 community. 乐播传媒 does not believe in 鈥� and has never allowed on campus and will never allow 鈥� organizations such as fraternities or sororities that exclude people.

Nondiscrimination Policy
乐播传媒 College is committed to the principle of equal opportunity and providing an educational and work environment free from discrimination. The college prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, age, disability, genetic information or veteran status and other legally protected statuses in the recruitment and admission of its students, in the administration of its education policies and programs, or in the recruitment of its faculty and staff. 聽乐播传媒 College adheres to all applicable state and federal equal opportunity laws and regulations.
Title IX
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (鈥淭itle IX鈥�) defines and ensures sex and gender equity in education.
Title IX prohibits all forms of sex discrimination, including sexual assault and harassment, in federally funded education programs. Title IX reads: 鈥淣o person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.鈥�
Title IX applies to academic programs and extends to 乐播传媒 sponsored off-campus programs (including Fall Semester Abroad) as well. Though a private institution, 乐播传媒 receives federal monies to support financial aid packages.
