Summary

Support the marketing and promotion of athletic events and programs to the campus community. Assist with the creation, organization, and execution of promotional events and contest; distribute print media throughout campus; organize and maintain and marketing schedule; and actively promote athletics throughout campus.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

-Assist with promotion of athletics programs and events through print media distribution across campus
-Represent the department and engage with participants at in-person events, including, but not limited to: athletic contests, special events, campus fairs
-Contribute creative and innovative ideas for how to promote athletics programs through digital, in-person, and print marketing tactics as well as promotions, contests and special events
-Provide office assistance, which may include: printing, mounting and organizing promotional signs, entering data, and organizing and distributing promotional materials
-Attend all staff meetings, in-services and trainings
-Uphold the mission and values and be an active representative of the Department of Athletics
-All other duties assigned as by the supervisor and other Athletics staff

Requirements

Requirements:
•Flexible schedule; hours include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and summer if available
•Schedule will vary week-by-week based on need including evening and weekend hours
•Passionate, engaged and energetic with strong presentation and communication skills
•The ability to self-motivate with little or no supervision
•Excellent oral and written communication skills
•Must be punctual and dependable
•Willing to become well versed in all ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Athletics programs and services
•Some exposure to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Athletics programs and services is preferred
•Able to transport event materials to various locations on campus (via wheeled cart; a vehicle is not necessary)
•The ability to effectively monitor and communicate to members, guests, co-workers, and professional staff while maintaining a high standard for customer service and safety
•Punctuality, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines
•Indoor and outdoor work required
•Ability to lift 30 pounds
