Fellows also establish a SACNAS chapter at ֲý, and participate in other events related to equity and inclusion in STEM. Fellows receive training on mentoring practices aligned with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s “The Science of Effective Mentorship in STEMM.” Each mentor conducts group peer mentoring triangle events and is available for one-on-one sessions with mentees. Each mentor submits written reflections each semester based on their experiences.

STIPENDED FELLOWSHIP: Students receive $250/semester
