How is a package\/item mailed to a ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ student? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Student First and Last Name<br>(Virtual Box Number) ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ College<br>65 Campus Ave.<br>Lewiston, Maine 04240<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">3. <\/strong><strong>Can I authorize someone to pick up my mail or package if I&#8217;m not able to? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You are responsible for getting your own mail and packages. However, if due to an illness or unforeseen circumstance that prohibits you from coming to Post &amp; Print yourself, you can authorize another to pick it up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To grant authorization, email&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:mailservices@elon.edu\">postandprint@bates.edu<\/a>&nbsp;<strong>and copy the pick up designee on the SAME EMAIL<\/strong> stating they have your permission to pick up your mail or package. The designee will need to show their ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ ID Card and the email to the staff at Post &amp; Print in order to pick up your mail or package.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ui-accordion-header ui-state-default ui-accordion-icons ui-state-focus ui-accordion-header-active ui-state-active ui-corner-top wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>4. I was notified from the merchant\/carrier that my package was delivered<\/strong>. <strong>Why haven\u2019t I received an email from Post &amp; Print?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ui-accordion-header ui-state-default ui-accordion-icons ui-state-focus ui-accordion-header-active ui-state-active ui-corner-top wp-block-paragraph\">Automated emails are sent to your ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ email address when we check in mail or a package for you. The email will come from <a href=\"mailto:packagecenter@bates.edu\">packagecenter@bates.edu<\/a>.&nbsp; If it is not in your inbox, you may need to check your junk or spam folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On average, we receive over 1,000 items a day, so it takes time to process each package. We are typically able to get all items processed the same day. If it has been more than a day, feel free to email us with the tracking number so we can look into it further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ui-accordion-header ui-state-default ui-accordion-icons ui-state-focus ui-state-hover ui-accordion-header-active ui-state-active ui-corner-top wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5. Can students receive perishable items, flowers, or grocery deliveries? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"ui-accordion-header ui-state-default ui-accordion-icons ui-state-focus ui-state-hover ui-accordion-header-active ui-state-active ui-corner-top wp-block-paragraph\">Perishable items such as prepared meals, baked goods, or flowers that are ordered online and sent through one of our shipping carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS) can be sent to students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">6. Can I arrange for my mail to be forwarded if I am away from campus for a certain period of time? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We provide USPS mail forwarding as a courtesy for all First Class domestic mail and on a fee-for-service basis for all other carriers and items. To ensure that mail is forwarded to you while you are away from campus, be sure to email a valid forwarding address to <a href=\"mailto:postandprint@bates.edu\">postandprint@bates.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>7. Can mail be forwarded to an international address?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We provide international forwarding, but it requires additional fees. Please contact&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:postandprint@bates.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">postandprint@bates.edu<\/a>&nbsp;for details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>8. What kind of mail can be forwarded?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">First Class USPS mail, presorted first class mail and periodicals can be forwarded. &nbsp;USPS, FedEx, UPS and DHL packages can be forwarded for a fee. Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bates.edu\/post-and-print\/students\/change-of-address\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"135\">here<\/a> for more details. All packages from non-USPS carriers are refused if a student is not on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>9. Can I receive a package on the weekend?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Post &amp; Print&nbsp;is closed on weekends. Packages scheduled to arrive outside of our business hours will be received and processed on the following business day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>10. How long does it take for packages to get processed?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All packages that arrive in the morning are typically processed the same day by the afternoon. During our peak times, please allow 24 hours from the time we receive your package for the&nbsp;notification to show up in your email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>11. Can I mail a package\/letter out from Post &amp; Print?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, you can send letters and packages out from Post &amp; Print. We have envelopes, stamps, and other materials available for purchase, and we offer shipping through USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Can I send a package with a QR Code?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No, those are only for use at UPS and FedEx stores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>12. How much does it cost to send a package?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cost of sending a package depends on a number of factors, principally the carrier used, the weight of the package, the dimensions, the speed required, and its destination. The cost of sending something by UPS or FedEx very specifically depends on the package itself and can be calculated at Post &amp; Print.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>13. Does Post &amp; Print sell boxes?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yes, we sell boxes and other shipping material. Many carriers offer free boxes such as flat rate priority boxes from the Postal Services and envelopes (padded and regular) from FedEx.
