Ensemble Mise-En. (Moon Young Ha)<\/p><\/div>\n

Music by ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ students and faculty, including Associate Professor of Music Hiroya Miura and Alice Swanson Esty Professor of Music William Matthews, constitutes one of two forthcoming programs by New York City’s Ensemble Mise-En.<\/p>\n

In 7:30 p.m. performances in the Olin Arts Center, the group offers music by Danish and American composers on Sunday, Nov. 15, and by a dozen ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ composers the following evening. Hailed by The New York Times<\/em> for “examining unusual corners of the composition world,\u201d this contemporary music collective was founded in 2011 by composer-conductor Moon Young Ha.<\/p>\n

In addition to Ha’s “(in)stillness,” the Sunday concert features music by Hans Abrahamsen, Simon Steen-Andersen, Bent S\u00f8rensen, Enda ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, Frederic Rzewski, and Beth Wiemann.<\/p>\n

Along with Matthews and Miura, the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ composers represented on Monday are Elliot Chun ’18, Will Reber ’16, Patrick Nelson ’18, Justin Demers ’18, Abby Bierman ’17, Hikaru Asao ’16, Divyamaan Sahoo ’17, Declan Chu ’17, Ben Cuba ’16, and Gabriel Mizrachi ’16.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
