The event was organized by ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ students in conjunction with L-A businesses and the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce.

Among the restaurants offering discounts to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ students, She Doesn’t Like Guthries was a popular stop. Known for tasty burritos and sandwiches, the joint teemed with students appreciating the witty performances of the Strange Bedfellows, a ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ improv group.

The Guthries crowd was mostly ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ students. The walls in the dimly lit restaurant were decorated with mosaic artworks for sale, and a hanging bike and album covers of the Beatles and Bob Marley lent a retro feel.

In the audience were juniors Lani Eversage and Gilbert Brown, who declared themselves delighted to see “how interwoven the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ community is with Lewiston.”

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-78514" class="size-medium wp-image-78514" src="https://www.bates.edu/news/files/2014/05/w_140507_ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½_NIght_Out_0295-300x200.jpg" alt="The crowd enjoys ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ student performances in Auburn's Festival Plaza.
