Saying goodbye to Peter Gomes ’65.<\/p><\/div>At Convocation in 2005, the Rev. Peter Gomes ’65, who died in February 2011, adopts the firm expression familiar to his many friends and admirers. <\/p>\n

That day, Gomes told the incoming class that “the day will come when you’ll discover the necessity of relying upon your inner resources of heart, mind and spirit.
