Admission is $5. &#8220;The Photograph&#8221; (98 min.) is in Indonesian with English subtitles. The initiative believes that &#8220;a powerful, authentic narrative can foster trust and respect between disparate cultures and mitigate the social and psychological impact of cultural prejudice.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><em>The Photograph <\/em>tells the story of a young prostitute, Sita. While trying to support her family, develop a career as a singer and avoid abuse from her pimp, Sita develops a relationship with an elderly photographer desperate to pass on his business before he dies.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Photograph<\/em> is Achnas&#8217; fourth feature. She holds a master&#8217;s degree in film from the University of East Anglia, U.K. She is a highly regarded documentary filmmaker and her work has been screened at festivals around the world.
