Ever incompetent with all things online, I’m not sure my last made it to you. In it, unlike Michael Foley above, I was crying.
I am and will be forever grateful to you.

I will miss you.

Godspeed,
Dave

Ah, Jay Burns. You have held the very heart and soul of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ College in your pen (OK, your computer keyboard, too) for three+ decades, and we are so much the better for having had you as our storyteller. Your words have brought clarity, character, and sweet brilliance to generations of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ people who we have come to know only through your stories. We feel a deeper connection because you wove us together in such careful and affectionate ways. ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ owes you an enormous debt of gratitude for your many years of service, which I would argue amounts to the most well-deserved retirement of anyone I can think of. I say this with full heart, Jay: thank you.
All the love and light, and gently forward, my friend.

Your career has bridged and connected people who have shaped ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½â€™ culture and values for so many years. The stellar achievement and excellence of students, faculty, and staff are often highlighted. But the heart and soul of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ really shines in this piece reflecting your 33-year experience. Thank you, and all good wishes in your new post-ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ beginning!

Your endnote (to your ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ employ only!) is engaging and delivers the real flavor and joie de vivre of your persona and inner self.
Enjoy your next endeavors and thanks for painting a wonderful canvas displaying the contributions you’ve made and fun you’ve had as a Bobcat.
