The article in the News from ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ caught my attention. I was adjunct faculty at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ and Bowdoin when they needed a practitioner natural history instructor. I was the naturalist/environmental educator at Thorncrag Nature Center on Montello St for 30 years. As one of the Founders of the Maine Master Naturalist Program in 2011, I teach pedagogy and androgogy to adults in the course so that they can gain the skills needed to teach nature to learners of all ages in the woods and waters of Maine.
I love that you have an emphasis on rural teaching in your courses.
Maybe you have already discovered and use the resources available at Thorncrag. If not, we could explore this idea. I have retired from Thorcrag, but there are ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Faculty and Maine Master Naturalist grads locally that would be happy to fill in some gaps or assist.
