I just got back from Kotzebue, Alaska where we shot one of our finals series of interviews with early fleet adopters of EVs in Alaska. Kotzebue Electric Association, the electric utility for this village north of the Arctic Circle, has one Nissan Leaf and one Ford Lightning. The wind turbine maintenance team was happy to have electric outlets in the bed of the truck to power their equipment and lighting the other week (daylight is in short supply this time of year) when there gas generator wouldn’t start. It made the job possible at this remote site possible.
