P.s. I don’t think I’m related to Tom King. My 18th- and 19th-century ancestors lived in West Virginia and nearby parts of Ohio and Pennsylvania. I’ve never been to Maine, and was barely aware of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ College and Lewiston. Ancestry.com has not connected me with Kings north of Philadelphia.

A wonderful interview/article that accurately reflects the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ experience in the mid-1950s. Thank you.

It taught a most valuable lesson… how to work together and compromise; Also, how to appreciate talent in others. I think of Larry Evans, ‘56, An amazing, brilliant man who virtually lassoed the Smith side into a well oiled machine! We lost, but who cared! It was glorious! Regina (Abbiati)Lucas, ‘59.

I can’t imagine how you managed to live in Hathorne Hall, Mr. King. I do remember working in the dish room in the 70’s-messy job-but it was fun.
