I thank you for writing this and allowing for its publication. My son will attend ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ this Fall as a Black student-athlete in one of the noted stereotypically non-Black sports. I am glad there is an Athletes of Color Coalition. I am not sure my son is aware. Although the journey is his, it is true that one’s identity is influenced by the company one keeps.
