The Phases of Life
Although this year鈥檚 ever-popular Astronomy Extravaganza has been cancelled, we thought you might be interested in a video created for the event in 2018 by four students in professor Aleks Diamond-Stanic鈥檚聽鈥淚ntroduction to Astronomy鈥� course. It鈥檚 entitled聽and features original music by student Alisa Amador 鈥�18. Like the other activities created by students for the Extravaganza, the video is designed to convey science knowledge to elementary-aged children in fun and engaging ways. We hope you enjoy it, too!
The annual Astronomy Extravaganza is the brainchild of Assistant Professor of Astronomy and Physics Aleks Diamond-Stanic, who developed it while participating in the Harward Center鈥檚 annual Publicly-Engaged Pedagogy faculty learning community. The Extravaganza features projects, posters, hands-on learning activities, and demonstrations designed by students in the 乐播传媒 College course, 鈥淚ntroduction to Astronomy,鈥� to engage local elementary school students in science learning and exploration.
