Extra Service Pay\/Supplemental Compensation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Extra service pay for ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ employees is allowable as part of federal grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements only when it is 1)outside of the employee\u2019s regular work duties, 2)complies with the Human Resources (HR) policy Hiring Employees Into a Second Position<\/strong> (see Employee Handbook<\/a>), and  3)adheres to the Federal Uniform Guidance regulations (see 2 CFR <\/a>200.430(h)(4)<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before Extra Service Pay can be issued, it\u00a0must be approved by the employee’s immediate\u00a0supervisor, the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP), Human Resources, and the Dean of the Faculty as meeting both Sponsor requirements and ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ College policy. Approval for Extra Service Pay should be obtained at the proposal stage and clearly documented in the proposal budget, but must be done before any grant-funded project work begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
