Benjamin ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Society<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Inaugurated in 2005, the Benjamin ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Society recognizes the extraordinary philanthropy and personal commitment of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ donors who have given $1 million or more to the college in their lifetime. Support of this level reflects the great awareness and appreciation that alumni, parents and friends have for the powerful and transformative ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ experience. These gifts are instrumental in helping the college grow and succeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Garcelon Society<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Established in 2005, the Garcelon Society recognizes those who make contributions to the Androscoggin Scholarship Fund, which helps to ensure that talented and deserving students from Androscoggin County have access to a ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Garcelon Society is named for Alonzo Garcelon, a preeminent community leader who was born in Lewiston and became a local doctor, mayor, governor of Maine, and ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ trustee. The well-known 19th-century figure persuaded ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ founders, including Oren Cheney, to locate their institution in Lewiston in 1855.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Garnet Circle<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Garnet Circle honors loyal alumni, parents, and friends who have contributed to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ for five or more consecutive years, as well as young alumni who have given continuously since graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ivy Stone Society<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Ivy Stone Society honors monthly recurring donors to the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Fund and celebrates their ongoing commitment to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½. Monthly gifts provide a foundation that ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ can rely on each year and are sustainable for both the donor and the college. To join, set up a recurring gift here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mount David Society<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Mount David Society recognizes ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Fund donors who put the college first in their annual philanthropy. These individuals lead the way in supporting ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ by making significant, unrestricted current-use gifts each year \u2014 gifts that underpin the college\u2019s ability to sustain excellence. The generous contributions of Mount David Society members provide nearly 80 percent of the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Fund total each year and make a tremendous impact on the campus each day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phillips Society<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n

The Phillips Society celebrates those in the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ community that have honored the college in their estate plans. Inaugurated in 1998, the society honors the landmark $9-million endowment bequest of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½\u2019 fourth president, Charles F. Phillips, and his wife, Evelyn Minard Phillips. Membership includes more than 500 alumni, parents, and friends who have provided for ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ in their estate plans, trusts, or other financial arrangements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
