Peter Casares joined ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ as the head men\u2019s and women\u2019s swimming and diving coach and aquatics director in 2007. He is well respected in the swimming world, both as an accomplished Division III All-American swimmer and as a passionate coach and tireless recruiter. Peter\u2019s expertise and love for the sport have brought enthusiasm and national visibility to the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ program. \u00a0On Sept. 19, 2014, Coach Casares was\u00a0inducted into the Hall of Honor at his alma mater<\/a><\/strong>, Gettysburg College.<\/p>\n

Prior to coming to ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½, Peter was the North Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, and he holds the distinction of being one of only three coaches in NCAA history to win a national championship for both men and women in the same year while he was the interim head coach at Kenyon College. During his career at ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ the team size has more than doubled, varsity records have been broken over 100 times, and each team has experienced a steady climb up the conference and national ladder. The past few seasons have\u00a0turned out to exceptional\u00a0with dozen of\u00a0varsity records broken, the men and women claiming the CBB (Colby-ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½-Bowdoin) title, and the both the men and women finishing in the top 15 at NCAAs.
