150 Years of Football

To celebrate 150 years of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Football, the college is hosting a weekend of events for alumni, fans, and friends. The celebration will honor the program’s history and include a special tribute on Garcelon Field’s new scoreboard, which is part of a fundraising effort to support the program’s future.

Charles A. Dana Professor of English and Africana Therí Pickens’ debut poetry collection, What Had Happened Was, was published by Duke University Press in March and featured in Down East magazine. This spring, Pickens was active with Maine Calling appearances, university talks, and interviews, culminating in an April 3 campus book party celebrating her book and her appointment as Charles A.
